15-Second Bio: Todd Beaird (TMF Synchronicity, or "Sync" to most Fools) grew up outside of Chicago, then went on the "great circle route" and lived in Portland, OR (Lewis and Clark College), Boston (Boston University), and Long Island ("well, there was this woman...") before returning to Chicago. Sync writes regularly at the Foolish Workshop, answers questions there and on the Dow Investing board, and learns as much as he can at the Mechanical Investing board. He occasionally drops by the Tax Strategies board, because outside of The Fool, Sync does international tax for a living. He'd give it up, but occasionally his day job flies him first class to exotic locales on the company dime. By contrast, TMF has given him a hat. Proudly owned by two Siamese cats (one of which was the first ever to post on the boards), Sync's biggest Foolish accomplishment was outduelling TMF2Aruba in a pun war. When asked how he stumbled onto the Fool in the first place, he responded simply, "It was synchronicity."
