Tuesday, Iomega closed at $32 1/4, up $1 3/4 (+5.74%).

TODAY'S RECAP: It was abnormally quiet on the Iomega board yesterday, but the following posts spent a brief amount of time on the stock split, a new Cabot recommendation and Acer including the Zip in two lines.

Enjoy!

<< Acer Computer International Ltd. to Include Iomega Zip Drive in Latest Aspire 5 >>

Who was it last month that commented here that Iomega had basically blown it (paraphrased) with Acer? Point is.... sorry to repeat myself.... that Kim Edwards made it very clear in a conference call that Iomega continued to work with Acer in other areas, even though Zip was dropped from the Acer SE Asia internet box. Kim does not BS.... he says what he means. Acer is a very big company and this is very big news. Thanks Kim for another well done job.

<<hee hee hoo hoo IOM over 32. Hoo hoo hee heen IMN is < 18. :)>>

Burt,

You may have stumbled upon the real reason for the Iomega split. In the true spirit of sportmanship, Iomega has tried to even the playing field. Once again (for a short time) we may be able to watch IOM and IMN fighting it out for the highest stock price. Just keep your fingers crossed that IMN doesn't fall below 16 before Dec 22 (or IOM going above 36).

P.S. Next up according to my theory will be another 4:1 split to take on SYQT, but don't hold your breath for that one..:-)

<< cabot fax hotline recommending iomega again as a buy with todays breakout price, sites zip drive is the standard in removable storage and zip disks providing recurring income. >>

When Cabot put the sell on IOMG, summer 1996 at 28, some folks here scoffed and called it a bottom. Weeks later it was in the low teens, not to see 28 again for more than a year.

It's not discussed much, but I do believe Cabot's big money crowd short-buster technique had a lot to do with IOMG's meteoric rise.

Therefore it is possibly very interesting to see them back in the hunt, if DOCRITE's report is accurate.
