Wednesday, Iomega closed at $10 1/8, up $1/4 (+2.53%).

TODAY'S RECAP: About halfway through the day, the Iomega board started listing all posts as if from May 4, 1998; needless to say, many posters chose not to let a "forecasting" chance slip by without comment. Others focused on issues such as Iomega advertising, Imation's earnings report, IOM's earnings report, and even possible sponsorship of a major NBA game.

Enjoy!

INDEX: Use the Search or Find feature of your word processor to locate the article number (Find: 1++, 3++, etc.) - or use AOL's Edit>>Find in Top Window Feature. If Find in Top Window is dimmed, just click on some text, anything, in the IOM Today window and try again.

Believe it or not I was watching the cable weather channel on Sunday in Houston. During a lengthy segment Iomega had a blue header bar at the top of the screen with IOMEGA name prominently displayed the entire time the forecaster was doing national weather segment. IOM commercials included dog with retainer. I still chuckle when I see it as anyone who used to wear braces can attest. Pretty funny. This is great exposure without being in your face. I have to hand it to the IOM marketing machine, very effective and subtle advertising.

And on cnbc this am, "Imation will shut down its CDrom division, fire some bunch of workers, made 2 cents instead of 4"...will their stock price now drop $6.00? Hmmmmm...

I haven't kept track of the positions advertised so I can't tell whether Iomega is filling the jobs they previously posted. Do you have any idea?

Also, I think you pointed out that KE will use head count limits to control cash flow this year. Does that mean not posting new openings are not filling the ones already posted?

I think job openings are the greatest barometer of a companies health and growth rate. Your postings in this regard have been a great boost to my morale.

There must be a house organ at Roy that identifies the new hires. Isb't there an employee on here that can furnish us with info from it. If not, they could check out a local real estate agent. They are incredible at sniffing out new home buyers.

Thanks again for you informative posts.

Subject: Clik! Beat The Bulls
Date: Mon, May 4, 1998 18:39 EDT
From: KayS222

Sorry Bulls Fans. ; (

Iomega sponsered tonights game between the Jazz and the Bulls. We had lots of "Clickers" to click at the Bulls whenever they had the ball. My whole section went crazy clicking in the second half...and MJ missed a free throw.

I'll save mine, and use them for all the next games. The Jazz can't lose at home now!!!!!

Kay

P.S. I have an Iomega/Jazz cap that the Jazz Bear threw at me, and also Iomega towels. Iomega had a huge presence at the game.
