<THE HARRY JONES PORTFOLIO>
By Harry Jones
(January 27, 1999) -- There are four more days in January after today. January and February are always the longest months of the year for me. It's dark much of the time and the work you do is of a different sort. The dogs don't run around as much, either. I look forward to the thaw and planting again. As winter approaches you prepare the fields for it, so all winter they're dormant but they'll be well and ready for spring when it comes. The dogs will be, too.
The S&P and Harry Jones Portfolio fell today -- the S&P losing 0.73% and Harry Jones sliding 1.17%.
