<THE HARRY JONES PORTFOLIO>
by Irv
(April 15, 1999) -- Well, taxes are due today, so not being one to procrastinate too much, tonight before dinner I'm doing my taxes on the computer. Harry has his done by a friend (his are complicated with the farm) but mine are simple and I always do them myself. This is the first time I'm doing them on the computer. The IRS has everything you need online. (That's surprising.) This year I plan to begin banking online and buying things online. Ironically, maybe, the Internet could prove most beneficial to people in rural areas, rather than for all the city folk who use it every day.
The S&P 500 index shares that Harry owns fell 0.38%. Have a good evening. Be sure to reward yourself when your taxes are done. I'm going to eat a chicken that was recently killed in a fight.
