Dueling Fools

August 22, 2001

Was home improvement giant Home Depot (NYSE: HD) in construction or destruction mode? That's what we set out to dig up back in February. Mike Trigg (TMF Tonto) was a believer in the stock while Rick Aristotle Munarriz (TMF Edible) wanted to fold up the orange apron and go home.

Our Voting Fools sided with the Bull. It was a close race, but with the stock rising 7% over the past six months it's the optimists who walked away smiling from this open house.

Victory? Mike and our Voting Fools. Congrats!
