Investing In Independence
"....O'er the land of the free, and the home of the brave." Francis Scott Key delivered these memorable words well past the Revolutionary War. Yet, they define the essence of the American spirit today as well.
You and I have the freedom to choose our own investments. We have the freedom to invest in risky ventures and reap reward or ruin. We have the freedom to choose our own financial institutions: banks, brokerages, credit companies, etc. And we have the freedom to openly debate and criticize decisions of the most powerful companies to grace American history.
Bravery begins with the courage to speak your mind openly and respectfully. Freedom of debate is also our most necessary duty. Here in The Motley Fool forums you are asked to fulfill both your freedom and your duty with brave countenance. You need not be eloquent; you need not be effluent. But your participation is vitally necessary.
Make an investment, debate its value, and listen to the sounds of Independence.
