Fribble A Foolish Theme Song

I have been a Fool for quite a while, but I have mainly been a lurker. However, it strikes me that if I want to truly be a Fool, I need to contribute. I think it's time the Fools had a theme song. Television shows have theme songs. Ally McBeal has theme songs within a television show. Companies and products have theme songs. States have their own songs -- well, except for Virginia (but that's another story).

I humbly submit for your approval "I Will Survive" -- with my deepest apologies to Gloria Gaynor.

I Will Survive
( to the tune of "I Will Survive," by Gloria Gaynor)

At first I was afraid, I was petrified
Kept thinking I could never trade without my broker by my side
But then I spent so many nights
Thinking how you did me wrong
And I grew strong
And so you're back, from Waikiki
I just walked in to find you here with that "Wise" look upon your face
I should have closed out my account
I should have made you pay your fees
If I'd known for just one second how you'd churn bad stocks for me

Go on now go, walk out the door
Don't turn around now
'Cause I don't need you anymore
Weren't you the "Wise" who tried to hurt me with dot-coms
Did I crumble
Did you think I'd sell and sell and buy
Oh no not I, I will survive
As long as I have discount brokers, I know I'll hold and buy
I've got my own portfolio
I've got Drips, the Fools, and more
It's buy and hold! Long term!

It took all the strength I had to become a Fool
Kept learning hard to mend the pieces of my portfolio
And I study more to be a Fool
Just feeling sorry for the "Wise." I buy and hold
And now my Foolish head is high!

And you see me, somebody new
I'm not that trusting person just listening to you
And if you feel like calling me
Just expecting me to trade
Now I 'm saving all my learning for the Fools who have saved me
Go on now go!
