How do I get to other parts of the Help?

Click on a menu item on the right to get information on a part of our site.

How do I get to the Message Boards? Premium Services? Get a quote?

On most all of our content pages,  you can use the top tabs or the left navigation bar as a jumping-off point for everything we have in Fooldom.

The top tabs will direct you to major areas within our site; the links underneath are the sub-categories for each area.

The left navigation bar, found on many pages, lists many of our popular site areas.

The search box, found below the tabs on each page, provides an easy path to content and quote data.

If you still haven't found what you're looking for, you can also try our site map.

How do I get a stock quote?

Enter a stock ticker into the "Enter Keywords or Ticker" search box located under our main navigation tabs, and click "Get Quote". Or click on the CAPS/QUOTES tab.

What is all this stuff on the Home page?

Our top market news and commentary, most popular articles, and member-generated content. You will also find useful articles organized by subject.

What are "TMF" Screen Names?

You will see some people with the "TMF" prefix on their screen names around Fooldom. These people are our Official Fools. Their primary purpose is to keep our forums running smoothly, with politeness and good humor. They perform a variety of tasks, especially answering your questions about the Fool and explaining how to navigate our growing forum. Some of our staff are knowledgeable about the stock market, and some are not.

Many of these TMFs contribute to the various discussions. They are free to contribute, or not contribute, as they see fit. Their opinions are their own. The Motley Fool does not regulate what the staff says about a company. In fact, their opinions may differ substantially from each other as to the value of specific investments. This is what makes a market (and makes us motley).
