Qualcomm Continued Dominating the Mobile Revolution in 2011

In this edition, Eric continues his review of how major tech companies performed in 2011. Looking at Qualcomm, Eric is impressed with progress the company made in throughout the year. Notably, he points to the continuing strength of smartphone ASPs, which in turn drives the company's licensing segment. And despite continuing challenges from companies such as Marvell, NVIDIA, Intel, and Texas Instruments, Qualcomm continues holding a dominant share in mobile processors. Qualcomm managed to gain about 10% in 2011, which is a sizable outperformance relative to the flat Nasdaq, but Eric believes better times are yet to come in 2012.
