United Health Products, Inc.: Epic Wound Care Inc.'s HemoStyp™ Featured in Dentistry Today

COLTS NECK, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- United Health Products, Inc. (OTCQB: UEEC.PK) and its wholly owned subsidiary, Epic Wound Care, Inc., which develops and markets products and technologies in the healthcare sector, today announced that Epic Wound Care's hemostatic gauze, which is registered and branded in the USA under the trademark HemoStyp™, has been featured in the January 2013 edition of Dentistry Today. The article states that while there are other "hemostatic agents available to the dental practitioner, most of them are difficult to place, difficult to keep in position, and difficult to remove without disturbing the clotted surface, thereby reinitiating the bleeding. This specifically formulated gauze produces hemostasis almost instantly when positioned on a cut or wound. It contains no potentially harmful chemicals such as thrombin, collagen, or animal byproducts, is hypoallergenic, and works more quickly than other hemostatic agents. Once it has completed its task, it is readily dissolved by saline solution or water for easy removal that neither disturbs the clotted surface nor encourages re-bleeding." Dentistry Today is a top dental industry report offering comprehensive coverage of the latest news and developing technologies from within the dental industry through both print and online offerings.

Dr. Phillip Forman, CEO of United Health Products Inc., stated that "the coverage of our product by Dentistry Today continues to validate the HemoStyp™ gauze and our marketing efforts for its use within the dental industry." Dr. Forman went on to say that "In addition to Dentistry Today, our product was also highlighted several times in the last few months in the Clinicians Report® , another well known dental industry publication." In the December issue of the Clinicians Report®, HemoStyp™ was listed among the "Best Products Evaluated During 2012" with 83% of the evaluators stating that they would recommend the product. The company has received an initial order from one of the dental industry’s largest dental products distributors. Dr. Forman further states that he hopes that the continued coverage and testimony by multiple industry publications generates the same kind of interest in the product.
