Washington County, Pa., Chooses Tyler Technologies’ CLT Appraisal Services and iasWorld ® Appraisal and Tax Software

Agreement for reassessment services and software includes modern, Web-based public access solution

PLANO, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL  ) has signed a contract with Washington County, Pa., for Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services and iasWorld® property appraisal and tax administration software. The contract, valued at approximately $7 million, will enable the county to conduct its first property reassessment since 1981.

Washington County has about 202,000 residents and nearly 118,000 parcels of real estate valued at approximately $1.8 billion. The county seat is the city of Washington, Pa., about 30 miles southwest of Pittsburgh.

Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services — the country’s only national mass appraisal service company — has appraised more than 30 million parcels across 46 states.

“Because this is Washington County’s first reassessment in more than 30 years, we plan to provide a great deal of public information so that homeowners, in particular, have a good awareness and understanding of the reassessment project, its objectives and how Tyler will go about collecting data in the field,” said David J. Johnson, president of Tyler’s CLT Appraisal Services. “Information will be shared in a number of ways, including print media, radio, TV and online. Tyler looks forward to working closely with the county assessor’s office and with Washington County Director of Tax Revenue Debbie Bardella, as we apply Tyler’s proven techniques and technologies to Washington County’s reassessment project.”
