2 Stocks That Are Better Than Verizon and AT&T

Dividend lovers are seeing huge yields in the telecom space. For instance, American behemoths Verizon (NYSE: VZ  ) and AT&T (NYSE: T  ) are sporting dividend yields of 6.5% and 6.6%, respectively.

To vet the opportunities in the space, senior analyst Anand Chokkavelu sat down with James Early, the lead advisor of the Motley Fool's dividend investing service, Income Investor.

Turns out James sees better opportunities than Verizon or AT&T. He says go the Philippines and Israel to find better plays. Specifically, he likes Philippine Long Distance Telephone (NYSE: PHI  ) (yielding 6.4%) and Partner Communications (Nasdaq: PTNR  ) (yielding 10.1%).

The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!

Neither James Early nor Anand Chokkavelu owns shares in any of the companies mentioned. Philippine Long Distance Telephone and Partner Communications are Motley Fool Income Investor picks. The Motley Fool's disclosure policy gets camera-shy.

Not entirely true. Foreign taxes paid are in most cases eligible for a credit on your form 1040.
