On Feb. 15, broadband telephone service provider Vonage (NYSE:VG) released its fourth-quarter earnings for the period ended Dec. 31.

  • Net sales increased by 90.7% to $181.5 million on growth in the company's subscriber base and an increase in average monthly revenue per line.
  • The company's number of subscriber lines jumped 75.3%, but average monthly churn inched up to 2.3% from 1.9%.
  • Management expects an adjusted operating loss in the range of $150 million to $170 million for fiscal 2007 and "... adjusted operating profits as early as the first quarter 2008." Yikes.
  • The great majority of Motley Fool CAPS players think VG is a stinker.
