In the latest installment of our Motley Fool Money podcast, advisors Seth Jayson and Shannon Zimmerman discuss some of the big questions of the week.

Will General Motors (NYSE: GM  ) be able to reinvent itself as it gears up for bankruptcy? How can United Airlines (Nasdaq: UAUA  ) make nice with angry customers? Now that Microsoft is getting ready to unveil its new search engine, Bing, how scared should Google (Nasdaq: GOOG  ) and Yahoo! (Nasdaq: YHOO  ) be? For that matter, why is Apple’s (Nasdaq: AAPL  ) co-founder praising Bing?

All that, plus hear why Logitech (Nasdaq: LOGI  ) and Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT  ) are the two stocks our panel is eyeing this week.

New podcasts are published after the market close every Friday. Listen now at www.motleyfoolmoney.com, or subscribe through iTunes.

Microsoft, like Timex, takes a licken and keeps on ticken but there comes a time when you need to spend some of those billion dollar R&D on something more than hype. Microsoft had already released two other iterations of their supposed "google killer" search engine in years past and to this day, even just now, there search engine is worthless. What exactly is the billions used for.

Microsoft's problem is that after decades of work they finally made a product that was more than good enough for most people. Windows XP was far less apt to crash than it's predecessors and can still perform all of the kinds of tasks most users need nearly 8 years after its launch. Their office suite also hit the good enough mark around then, if not earlier. The PC is an expensive gaming platform compared to consoles and the graphics quality of consoles is close enough to a quality PC that most people don't care.

All they really have to offer the public now is improved security, some UI tweaks, eye candy, and the threat of ending support at the steep cost of significantly higher system requirements. That's a hard sell.
