Although we don't believe in timing the market or panicking over market movements, we do like to keep an eye on big changes -- just in case they're material to our investing thesis.

What: Shares of Oxford Resource Partners (NYSE: OXF) traded 15.8% higher for a nanosecond this morning, on little news.

So what: This move wouldn't be worth writing about, except that it's one of the oddest moves I've seen since we started the 10% Promise. At the market open 1,000 shares traded at $28.35, only to fall back to yesterday's levels a moment later.

Now what: When I worked for a trading firm we used to blame moves like this on a mythical character named Fat Finger Freddy. Someone certainly slipped when typing in a trade before the open and this move was the result. I wouldn't read into it and would just take time to admire this odd-looking intraday chart.
