Fidelity National Financial Earnings Preview

Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF  ) will try to beat its earnings estimates for the fifth consecutive quarter. The company will unveil its latest earnings on Wednesday. Fidelity National Financial is a holding company that is a provider, through its subsidiaries, of title insurance, specialty insurance, claims management services, and information services.

  • Buy, sell, or hold?: Analysts think investors should stand pat on Fidelity National Financial with four of five analysts rating it hold. Analysts like Fidelity National Financial better than competitor Alleghany overall. Zero out of two analysts rate Alleghany a buy compared to one of five for Fidelity National Financial. Analysts still rate the stock a hold, but they are a bit more wary about it compared to three months ago.
  • Revenue forecasts: On average, analysts predict $1.3 billion in revenue this quarter. That would represent a decline of 8.5% from the year-ago quarter.
  • Wall Street earnings expectations: The average analyst estimate is earnings of $0.34 per share. Estimates range from $0.31 to $0.36.
