    These guys are totally clueless about advertising. Their comments about Chevy branding are naive and off the mark.

    The question when evaluating advertising should be, who is the target market for Chevy commercials? What's the purpose of the campaign? Is the ad campaign reaching that market and encouraging/reinforcing them to form an emotional attachment to the brand?

    Does the campaign intend to position Chevy as an iconic, essentially American company?

    Well, then these ads succeed.
