And with these high stakes have come cutthroat competition from the companies involved. One of the key players in this area recently received some negative news from a key court ruling. Andrew breaks the news and examines its implications for investors.

Wow. Talk about your vapid commentary! This comes across as a couple of dudes shooting the breeze, not as solid, fact-driven analysis. And the primary contention, that this is a setback for Apple, isn't accurate. This is a minor skirmish in a major war. Finally, comparing the Nook and the Fire to the iPad is like comparing a tricycle and a bicycle to a Ferrari, even taking into account that they don't even come close to sharing the same form factor. And comparing known sales of iPads to projected sales in a different quarter for the Nook and the Fire just adds to the sense that these two haven't done their homework.

These setbacks will come more and more often for Appl. 1984macman is correct, it is a bit like comparing a Ferrari to a bicycle. I guess you should ask yourself how many bicycles are sold in comparison to Ferrari's.
