I always kind of thought coke was better just based on how many people drink it as a way of life on a daily basis. People buy a new cell ever 2 years based on their contract and probably buy a new computer every 3 years or tablet. My point is, if something bad were to all of a sudden hit the economy, who would I feel safer with in making money.

A very unrealistic comparison, IMHO. If things got really tight, I could give up my Diet Coke habit, & I drink a lot of it, but I can't live (function) without my computer. Carry that forward, & once I've kicked my DC habit, I can stay away from it, but eventually I'm going to need to upgrade my PC. intel is cheaper by PE, pays a better dividend, and has growth opportunity in mobile (and beyond) that Coke doesn't. That being said, it doesn't cost me much to feed my DC jones on a daily basis, but PC refresh cycles run 3 to 4 (maybe 5) years, so as I said, while both Andrew & Austin make good points about their picks, it's a bit unrealistic...

I guess it just really matter what we think society values more. Some people can go weeks or years without a pop if they had to, some could go years without upgrading if they had to. personally I would be opposite and upgrade the computer in the house whenever it got really bad. We just replaced our dell from year 2004. We basically had the same desktop for 7-8 years. I had the same razer phone for over 5 years, gave it to my mom, and she uses it today. I'm talking the original razer lol. All about opinion of values I guess.
