Better Buy: Caterpillar vs. Intel

The following video is part of our "Motley Fool Conversations" series, in which industrials editor and analyst Brendan Byrnes and technology editor and analyst Andrew Tonner discuss topics across the investing world.

In today's edition, Brendan and Andrew continue their series, "Better Buy Now." Today, Brendan discusses whether or not Caterpillar deserves a spot in your portfolio, while Andrew goes in-depth on Intel. Which company will win this battle?

While we like both Caterpillar and Intel, our chief investment officer has picked out a different stock as his favorite for 2012. This stock has so much promise that we've dubbed it: "The Motley Fool's Top Stock for 2012." We've created a special free report for investors to uncover this soon-to-be rock star. The Steve Jobs Betrayal
You may already know that in the final year of his life, Jobs revealed a stunning betrayal — and told his biographer, "I will spend my last dying breath... and every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank to right this wrong." What was it that made Jobs so irate — and why could it make a few in-the-know investors some major profits over the coming months and years?

Enter your email address below to find out what made Jobs so enraged!

Great to see you putting out so many pro-Intel videos, Andrew! I've been getting pretty frustrated by all the Intel bashing that I'd been reading on Mötley Fool, so it's a refreshing change for an Intel fan such as myself.

I'm also positive about Caterpillar, but havent fully crunched their numbers, and don't have any dry powder at the moment even if I wanted to make a move in that direction, but the future looks bright for them, too. Thanks for the report.

    Fool on!... :-)

I agree with the previous post. It seems like everyday someone bashes Intel and promotes ARM Holdings. The Motley Fool is turning into a bias stock pumping site by the writers. This is almost as pathetic as Seeking Alpha!
