In today's edition, analyst Austin Smith gives his quick reaction to the mini Apple store concept recently spotted in a Wal-Mart facility. While this doesn't translate to a serious profit driver for either company, it could be the sign of a powerful relationship to come. With Apple's brand strength and Wal-Mart's store base, both companies could surely find a long-term mutually beneficial solution. Also, this seems to follow in the footsteps of a larger store-within-a-store concept that's popular in retail right now. Austin thinks it has promise, but not enough track record for investing actions just yet.
