For the quarter, gross margin was 75.5%, 290 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was 37.7%, 1,290 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was 27.2%, 2,010 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

    EXXI had a seven cent one-time charge on the retirement of some preferred shares that should be backed out. Adding that back in gets you to $1.11 EPS, in line with Capital IQ. TDAmeritrade listed their average expectations at $1.13, though and there were some analysts that pushed their numbers up late; still a small miss there. So, there's some discrepancy among numbers. (Yahoo was a $1.08). Either way, that one-time charge will not recur and should probably be backed out of their operating numbers.
