Hewlett-Packard recently announced a "multiyear productivity initiative." But sadly, Hewlett-Packard has been restructuring every year since 2007. Could it be that the company just can't keep up with the changing marketplace? Meg Whitman may be able to turn the company around, but it will be difficult. As an investor, David thinks the memory and processor parts of the server value chain are much more interesting. Intel, for example, is interesting on the processor side, and Fusion-io is attractive on the memory side. Those may be more attractive options for investors.
