Don't Get Burned by the Most Dangerous Dividends in Telecom

Today's low-yield environment has hurt investors in need of income. This is a huge reason why dividend stocks have been all the rage over the last several years. However, not all dividend stocks are created equal. One sector in the tech space looks especially harrowing. The Fool's tech editor sat down to profile this high-risk sector for investors.

The mobile revolution is still in its infancy, but with so many different companies, it can be daunting to know how to profit in the space. Fortunately, The Motley Fool has just released a free report on mobile named "The Next Trillion-Dollar Revolution" that  tells you how. Inside the report, we not only describe why this seismic shift will dwarf any other technology revolution seen before it, but we also name the company at the forefront of the trend. Hundreds of thousands have requested access to previous reports, and you can access this new report today by clicking here -- it's free.

I don't understand this trashing of ALSK by The Motley Fool. Yes, this is a company that has slashed its dividend by 75% during the year, but it did so to build a better financial base to operate from, and is on the road of doing so. The state of Alaska is unusual compared to the lower 48, because of geographical size and isolation. ALSK is better suited to serve the market, than for instance Verizon because of its established presence.

Yes, I do hold shares of ALSK, but unlike others who won't tell you they are shorting the stock, I will tell you about my position in ALSK.
