Infinera Beats on Both Top and Bottom Lines

Infinera (Nasdaq: INFN  ) reported earnings on Oct. 24. Here are the numbers you need to know.

For the quarter, gross margin was 37.0%, 210 basis points worse than the prior-year quarter. Operating margin was -16.2%, 470 basis points better than the prior-year quarter. Net margin was -17.0%, 400 basis points better than the prior-year quarter.

    Those are the estimates for the current year ending Dec 2012. And with this quarter coming in better than expected by a nickel, the EPS estimate for the current year is more like -$0.40. Next year (2013) INFN is estimated to lose $0.06 on revenues of 544.2 million.
