Nike (NKE -2.17%) is a legend for creating a brand, a product, and a lifestyle. Any company in its space can be envious of Nike's empire. But that hasn't stopped this upstart from gaining market share and setting its sites on ruling athletic apparel for the next generation. I, for one, like it better as an investment.
