On May 28, Irvine, Calif.-based Resources Connection (RGP 1.99%) will be losing one chief executive officer, and gaining a new one.
On Wednesday, the professional services firm announced that CEO and Executive Chairman of the Board Don Murray will give up the CEO's post next month, to be replaced by newly promoted Tony Cherbak, currently the company's president and chief operating officer.
Murray will remain executive chairman of the company. In a statement, he said he said that going forward he "will focus on client relations and will work closely with Tony on growth strategies."
Resources Connection has not yet published information on Cherbak's compensation in his new post.
Shares of the company finished the day up 1.2% to $11.08.
