Investors won't need to make a last stand at Thermopylae after Spartan Motors (SHYF -1.34%) announced yesterday its semi-annual dividend of $0.05 per share, the same rate it's paid since 2009.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on June 27 to the holders of record at the close of business on May 23.
Spartan has been paying bi-annual regular cash dividends since 2003, and special dividends since 1990.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.10-per-share annual dividend, yielding 1.9% based on the closing price of Spartan Motor's stock on May 8.
