At BlackBerry's (BB -0.69%) opening keynote for its BlackBerry Live developer conference today, the company took the wraps off a new Q5 smartphone that will run BlackBerry 10.

The Q5 will be the second model in BlackBerry's new lineup that features a full QWERTY keyboard, which will appeal to loyal BlackBerry users who prefer hardware keyboards. The Q5 will target select markets outside of the U.S., where the higher-end Q10 will be the company's QWERTY model. BlackBerry will launch the Q5 in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Latin America in July. Pricing details were not disclosed.

BlackBerry's new smartphone will feature a 3.1-inch touchscreen and the company now has 100,000 apps available in BlackBerry World.
