California-based banking concern Cathay General Bancorp (CATY -0.46%) announced yesterday its second-quarter dividend of $0.01 per share, the same quarterly rate it's paid for the past four years.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on June 13 to the holders of record at the close of business on June 3. Cathay General has paid quarterly dividends since at least 1991.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $0.04-per-share annual dividend yielding 0.2% based on the closing price of Cathay General Bancorp's stock on May 17.
