Gas utility has maintained same payout since 1999.
Natural gas and electricity utility Unitil (UTL -0.75%) announced today its third-quarter dividend of $0.345 per share, the same rate it's paid since at least 1999.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Aug. 15 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 1. The regular dividend payment equates to a $1.38-per-share annual dividend, yielding 4.9% based on the closing price of Unitil's stock on June 4.
