A recent tweet suggested that on June 27, BBM service will become available on both Apple's (AAPL 1.27%) iOS and Google's (GOOGL 0.55%) Android as a free app. But whether the report was the result of an over-eager tweeter or more mismanagement by the company, fans have been once again disappointed, prompting the question of whether BlackBerry can regain control of its own fate.
