It's been a tough several decades for the Saudi Arabia of the refinery world, U.S. Gulf Coast refiners. But for at least four of them, the tide may be turning. Heavy crude from Canada is cheap enough to provide the refiners the right price to make good margins turning out diesel and jet fuel. They both bring a lot more money than making gasoline from the domestic light sweet crude we're awash in.
