Lakewood, Colo.-based Einstein Noah Restaurant Group (NASDAQ: BAGL) needs a new CFO.

On Friday, the company better known as "Einstein Bros." announced that Chief Restaurant Officer Brian Unger will be retiring on July 18. He will be immediately replaced by Chief Financial Officer Manny Hilario, who will take on the title of "Chief Operations Officer."

Announcing the switch, which he characterized as being "part of a planned succession," company CEO Jeffrey O'Neill called Hilario "a highly respected leader ... not only for his financial expertise, but also as an insightful and results-driven restaurateur."

Be that as it may, his appointment does create another dilemma for Einstein -- the company now needs to find a new CFO.

The company says a search is under way to find such a CFO.
