Railroad operator Canadian National Railway (CNI -5.05%) announced yesterday its third-quarter dividend of $0.43 Canadian per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 15% from $0.375 Canadian per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on September 30 to holders of record at the close of business on September 9. The railroad operator has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2008.
Canadian National Railway transports approximately $250 billion Canadian worth of goods annually on a rail network that spans Canada and middle America, and reaches from the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and south to the Gulf of Mexico.
