Clean-energy specialist NextEra Energy (NEE -0.81%) announced on Friday its third-quarter dividend of $0.66 per share, the same rate it's paid for the past two quarters after raising the payout 10% from $0.60 per share.
The board of directors said the quarterly dividend is payable on Sept. 16 to the holders of record at the close of business on Aug. 30. The company has made quarterly payouts to investors since 2005.
The regular dividend payment equates to a $2.64-per-share annual dividend, yielding 3.1% based on Friday's closing price of NextEra Energy's stock.
