Americans are paying slightly more at the gas pump this week, according to an Energy Information Administration report released today.

The national average price for regular gasoline clocked in at $3.552 per gallon today, up $0.002 from a week ago and $0.224 below the same time last year. West Coast prices have dropped the most in the past 12 months down $0.295 to $3.745, while the Rocky Mountains are the only region to register an increase, up $0.047 to $3.622.

While gas prices edged up, diesel prices added on $0.013 over the past week to hit $3.913 per gallon. This latest price tag puts diesel $0.176 per gallon below the same time last year.

At these latest prices, the West Coast pays the prettiest penny for gasoline ($3.745) and diesel ($4.072), while the Gulf Coast can guzzle gas for just $3.382 and diesel for $3.829 per gallon.
