McGraw-Hill's S&P Dow Jones Indices has brought in two stocks to replace the outgoing Dell (DELL.DL). Starting next Monday after the close of trading, the S&P MidCap 500 will be home to Transocean (RIG -0.69%) in place of the IT manufacturer. Transocean will also be added to the S&P 500 Global Industry Classification Standard's oil and gas sub-industry index.

Meanwhile, Dell's position on the S&P Global 100 will be taken by Marsh & McLennan (MMC 0.26%). That change will also be effected after market close next Monday.

Dell is getting ejected from the index because it's being taken private. Founder Michael Dell and Silver Lake Partners are in the process of acquiring the company.
