Recent reports suggest Samsung may be about to ditch OLED displays in two key devices. Here's why one Fool thinks you should ignore the noise.

Universal Display (OLED 0.94%) investors were left shaking their heads Wednesday as their stock fell 3%, this time thanks to fresh rumors suggesting Samsung (NASDAQOTH: SSNLF) might drop its flagship OLED technology.

Specifically, the rumor mill came out in full force yesterday after Korean news site ETNews reported Samsung is considering reverting to LCD displays to lower costs for its upcoming Galaxy S5 smartphone and Note 4 tablet.

But we've seen such claims debunked before, says the Fool's Steve Symington in the video below. What's more, he explains, there's simply too much evidence of Samsung's dedication to OLED for him to believe it'll abandon ship now.
