Trina Solar (NYSE: TSL) has secured a new job in Thailand. The company announced that it has been selected as the sole supplier of an upcoming phase of a solar project in that country. It is to supply modules with a total capacity of 25 megawatts for the third phase of the 75 MW Bangchak Solar Energy Project currently being built for the nation's namesake renewable energy firm. The terms of the deal were not made public.

Trina Solar expects to begin shipping the modules this month.

Bangchak's current project is part of the Thai government's current push to increase the amount of energy produced by solar resources. The country has set a goal of delivering 3,000 MW by 2012. At the moment, solar accounts for 8% of total domestic energy production.
