China-based NQ Mobile (NYSE: NQ) is teaming up with American technology distributor Ingram Micro (IM) to bring its offerings to a large part of the world. The Asian company announced that it has launched a strategic alliance with Ingram for the U.S. firm to distribute several of its security products throughout Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The terms of the deal were not made public.

The first of the three products covered in the arrangement is NQ Mobile Security, software that shields hardware from viruses and other unwanted data. The others are Mobile Vault and Family Guardian. The former allows users to password-protect and encrypt personal information and assets stored on their devices, which the latter is used to restrict children from accessing certain websites, apps, and device functions.

NQ Mobile has recently been hit by claims of impropriety by short-seller Muddy Waters, which accuses its management of booking "fictitious" revenue, among other charges.
