In the video below, Fool contributor Daniel Sparks and industrials bureau chief Blake Bos take a close look at Tesla (TSLA 12.06%) stock using a SWOT analysis, or an examination of a company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. In this section of the video, Daniel and Blake look at one of Tesla's biggest opportunities: a large addressable market.

Today, Tesla only produces one vehicle -- the Model S. With a price that begins at about $70,000, the car is clearly aimed at the luxury car market. But Tesla won't always be just a luxury-car maker. As Daniel explains, it's important for investors to keep in mind that the luxury vehicle market is not the limit of Tesla's addressable market. Tesla has voiced its plans on many occasions for a more affordable fully electric car that it plans to bring to market in 2017. This will dramatically expand Tesla's addressable market.
