The Department of Defense awarded 13 separate defense contracts Monday, worth $305.1 million in total. Among the publicly traded companies winning contracts:
- General Electric (GE 1.29%) was awarded a two-year option, to be appended to a contract originally awarded also for two years (and which may be extended by one final year), to maintain a digital imaging network-picture archive communication system for the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, and federal civilian agencies. The value of this first extension of the contract is not to exceed $73 million, and it will expire on March 26, 2016.
- CACI (CACI 5.32%) won a $27.1 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract to perform unspecified "logistics and engineering services" for the U.S. Army at unspecified "contingency locations" through December.
- FLIR Systems (FLIR) won a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to supply the U.S. Navy with up to $18.2 million worth of unspecified weapon system turrets through May 30.
- Rockwell Collins (COL) was awarded an $8.3 million option exercise for the procurement of AN/ARC-210(V) electronic radios and ancillary equipment to be used aboard a variety of U.S. Navy aircraft. The specific equipment being ordered includes 57 control radio sets, 57 high-power amplifiers, 57 low-noise amplifier diplexers, and 62 receiver transmitters, and delivery is due May 2015.
- Lockheed Martin (LMT 1.35%) won a sole-source, firm-fixed-price contract to supply the U.S. Navy with up to $8 million worth of radar data processors by Feb. 28, 2017.
