One of the bearish arguments against 3D Systems (NYSE:DDD) is the huge number of acquisitions it has undertaken -- 50 in the past three years. There are always worries that acquired companies may not be integrated smoothly, leading to inefficiencies in operations and possibly a writedown of the large amount of goodwill on the balance sheet.

3-D Systems President and CEO Avi Reichental is not worried at all, however. In this second of a multipart video from the floor of the 2014 International CES, Avi tells Motley Fool analyst Rex Moore that 3D Systems, and the industry as a whole, will continue to consolidate. He points to some of the new products his company has recently introduced as evidence the strategy is working.

Are you ready for this $14.4 trillion revolution?
There's one trend you should know about that bigger than 3-D printing -- even bigger than smartphones.

Every investor wants to get in on revolutionary ideas before they hit it big -- like buying PC maker Dell in the late 1980s, before the consumer computing boom, or purchasing stock in e-commerce pioneer in the late 1990s, when it was nothing more than an upstart online bookstore. The problem is, most investors don't understand the key to investing in hypergrowth markets. The real trick is to find a small-cap "pure play" and then watch as it grows in explosive fashion within its industry. Our expert team of equity analysts has identified one stock that's poised to produce rocket-ship returns with the next $14.4 trillion industry.
