March 31 was slated to be the final day of enrollment for the opening year of the Affordable Care Act health insurance through the healthcare.gov website. However, because of the number of technical difficulties surrounding the website on its launch and continuing to plague the website right up to the finish, it has been announced that all those who made a profile on the website, or could show that they tried to create a profile, before the deadline, would still be permitted to enroll after the deadline passed.
