Prepare yourselves, Fools! If you own shares of Greenbrier (GBX 3.80%)CalAmp (CAMP -1.19%), or McCormick & Co. (MKC 0.44%), you've got a wild week ahead of you. That's because all three of these companies have a high number of shares being shorted, and all three are reporting earnings.

When this happens, volatility is almost always the result. If you don't believe me, check out the three stocks I singled out earlier this month, which all moved an average of 6% following their earnings releases.

But I don't think you should try to "time" the market to make a quick buck. That's not a Foolish way to invest, and there's no way to tell if these volatile moves will be up or down. Instead, I encourage current shareholders to check out the slideshow below, and figure out how to ignore the noise and focus on what really matters.
