Akamai Accelerates: Fool by Numbers

On July 26, Akamai Technologies (Nasdaq: AKAM  ) released earnings for its 2005 second quarter, which ended June 30.

  • Analyst estimates excluded the impact of stock-based compensation and amortization of intangibles. Without these items, Akamai exceeded guidance by a penny per share.
  • Results include $2.5 million in revenue from 20 days of Speedera operating as part of Akamai. The acquisition was completed on June 10.
  • Full-year guidance, excluding one-time gains, amortization of intangibles, and stock-based compensation, was raised from $0.46 per share to $0.50 per share.
