Dueling Fools: Akamai

Getting these weekly bouts together can be a whole lot of fun. Since I'm stuck in the middle of the verbal crossfire, one would think that I have seen it all. Not even close. In scheduling the next batch of Duels, I put out a call for bulls and bears on Akamai (Nasdaq: AKAM  ) . The provider of faster and more secure Internet content delivery warranted a slot -- I just had to line up a willing Fool on each side.

I'm sometimes surprised by who chimes on an unlikely side of the fence. That's what happened when Tim Beyers offered to write either the bull or bear case for Akamai. Tim's the one who introduced the stock to Rule Breakers newsletter service subscribers last year. It's proved to be a good call, since the stock has gone on to more than double. Yet he was really prepared to play the devil's advocate.

Then Tom Taulli chimed in as an Akamai bull. Tom's been covering the Internet industry for years. Perfect! We've got a Duel.
