Over on CAPS, 516 of the 530 members who have rated Giant -- or 97% -- believe the stock will outperform the S&P 500 going forward. These bulls include accelerando and All-Star pauljs33.

Three weeks ago, accelerando touched on several of the stock's strong points:

[V]ery low pe given potential growth. lots of competitors but they have more solid mmog (massive multi-player on line game) on the way and loyal and growing following. … [In my humble opinion] risk/reward is extremely favorable.

In a pitch from last week, pauljs33 cites Giant's bigwig as reason to get in the game:

Enough cash that I truly believe they can weather the economic storm. The CEO of this company has been around the block several times. He knows both success AND failure. I'm guessing he didn't really like the taste of failure since he took a bit of time off to reflect afterward. Maybe that's why they have sooo much cash and so little debt on this go around. Mr. Shi has a loyal following of techies who are extremely bright (he is bright too, BTW). The down side is that this is a very competitive market. They seem to be sewing the fabric of a product base. One stitch at a time...... I'm in.

Do you keep track of your "poised to" stocks in CAPs? If so, under what player name? If not, why not? I'd be very interested to see if your "poised to" stocks behave as they are "poised to".

    Thanks:

    You there, Brian?

I asked you a question. Under what name do you keep track of your "poised to" stocks in CAPS? I'd really like to know how well they do after your articles. Wouldn't it be interesting to see if a stock that is poised to plunge or pop really did?

Or don't you really care. And if you don't care about your writing, should we?

    Thanks:

Patience not really your virtue is it? Is there a reason you expect folks to answer your posts in 24 hours? I'm just guessing Mr. Pacampara has a life outside of the Fool... just a guess. Typically it's also better to try to add something to the discussion while you're trying to pick someone's brain...

    Chris

who'll go out on a limb and pick ATPG to pop... might as well make some predictions...

came across this article looking at GIGM... not really sure how they'll do with Wu out of the picture... figure I'll wait and see how things pan out first.

Pondee619, I just now noticed your questions. I do not have any poised to pop picks. I do think a few stocks I track qualify for that.

I have a few caps picks under bw1962. I am new to buying my own stocks. I doubt anyone would be interested in what I write. I would also warn those that do read it to understand I am new to this.

    Thank you for your questions!

    Best regards Brian.
